The Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol service is a kernel mode driver. This protocol is used for Netword Interface Card bonding, which is the combining of two ethernet cards to appear as one physical device in order to increase the available bandwidth. You just leave it by itself if you don't combine Ethernet. In the Network Control Panel, verify Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol under Team Network Properties. In Hyper-V Manager, on the Action pane, click Virtual Switch Manager. In the Virtual Switch Manager dialog box, select New virtual network switch, Ensure that External is selected and Click on Create Virtual Switch. Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol is a kernel device driver. In Windows 10 it is starting only if the user, an application or another service starts it. If Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol fails to start, the failure details are being recorded into Event Log.

Method 1:

Firstly You have to disable the Windows Firewall that can be disabled by just going into settings & disable all the features that are constantly running on the background.

If you turn off your Windows Firewall it is dangerous for you but you are doing it just for experiment purposes. After completing the test please re-enable it to protect the network.

Let’s take a modern-day example and say that you have a computer and a copy of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 you want to install both of these operating systems onto your one computer to do this you create two partitions on the hard disk Windows 7 is installed onto the first partition and Windows 8.1 onto the second partition.

When the computer is first switched on you are given the choice of which operating system you’d like to boot up however you can only use one of those systems at a time what this essentially means is that if you are using Windows 7 and wanted to use Windows 8.1 you would first have to shut Windows 7 down and then boot up Windows 8.1 for a few years.

One thing, you should also know that hyper-v, guest compatible with a range of operating systems with Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 r2 you can install the following Microsoft server operating systems as hyper-v guests.

Windows Server 2012 r2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 r2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003 r2 and Windows Server 2003 providing you have service pack 2 installed, So you can also have Windows Home Server 2011 and windows small business server 2011.

So, First of all, you have to go to the search bar below on the left side of your window and search Registry.

1 – Right-click on it & open it as Administrator.

2 – Window pop up in front of you & now you have to expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then expand the software & then expand the policies then expand Microsoft and then expand the window now click & expands Wcmsvs and now click on the local.

Here is the path where you have to go.

3- IN Local right click and click DWORD32 Value and by writing the names type minimize connections & press enter no double click it and set the value to 0. If it has already 0 then It is fine.

Easy Configuration of NIC Teaming in Windows Server 2019

After purchasing a WSKY Wireless Dual Band adapter from Amazon I am very excited to use it with my Mac.

So the first issue that I got that I have no CD to install the driver it is the second time that I buy and wifi adapter but don’t get the CD.

So I already face this problem so I decide to find the drivers and write an article on it so that everybody gets to find it easily.

These are the drivers that I especially find and upload it for you.

Note for Linux users: More recent versions of Linux (Linux 18, Ubuntu 16) may have trouble using the provided driver.

If you have to install it on the Ubuntu OS, there is a command below for you that can help you in installing it. Other Linux users, please share your thoughts in the comment box.

When one of the network adapters fail, the other one takes over without requiring third-party hardware or software. Here we will configure NIC teaming for Hyper-V virtual machine. In the following steps, we will create, configure and add NIC teaming to a Hyper-V virtual machine.

1. Open Server Manager, click on All Servers or Hyper-V on the left-hand side pane, then right-click on the server, HOST1 to enable NIC teaming and select Configure NIC Teaming.

2. In the NIC Teaming dialog-box, click on TASKS and click New Team.

3. In the New team dialog-box, In Team name: type Corporate External Team as the Team name and under Member adapters select the network adapter to add to the NIC teaming. Under Additional properties, select the Teaming mode: Switch Independent, Load balancing mode: Hyper-V Port, Standby adapter: None (all adapters Active), Primary team interface: Corporate External Team: Default VLAN and then Click OK.

4. For the few seconds, we get Fault Status in NIC Teaming dialog-box and then get Online Status.

5. Under ADAPTERS AND INTERFACES, Click Team Interfaces Tab, Right-Click on Team Interface name, Corporate External Team and Click Properties.

6. In the Network Adapter Properties dialog box, under General information, noted Description: Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Driver. Verify Default VLAN membership and Click OK.

7.In the Network Control Panel, verify Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol under Team Network Properties.

8.In Hyper-V Manager, on the Action pane, click Virtual Switch Manager. In the Virtual Switch Manager dialog box, select New virtual networkswitch, Ensure that External is selected and Click on Create Virtual Switch. Under External network select Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Driver then Click Apply, review the warning, and then click Yes.

9.Open the Settings of Hyper-V virtual machine, click Network Adapter on the left pane, and select Corporate Network under Virtual switch. Then Click Advanced Features on left pane, then Click on Enable this network adapter to be part of a team in the guest operating system under NIC Teaming, Click Apply and Click OK.

10.To verify NIC Teaming, Unplug Network Cable one of the NIC and PING the Destination Server. We will get Reply from the Destination Server.

Summary:

Network Fault tolerance is often overlooked. In High Availability Systems, this feature can be of great utility as the downtime is zero in terms of Network connectivity due to NIC failure.
